Academic interaction activities such as guest lectures, seminars, workshops and training programmes will enable better industry - academia collaboration benefiting the student’s community at large. In Procademia we collectively call all the academic interaction activities as "EduMeet". Professionals who have more than 5 years’ work experience visiting a college for academic interaction activities is known as Edumeet. Note: This feature is available only for academicians and professionals who have more than 5 years and above of work experience.
What is mentoring?
Mentoring is a mutually-beneficial relationship between a learner (mentee) and an expert (mentor). Through a mentor's guidance, the learner will be able to find his/her right career, improve his/her employability skills and be transformed into a responsible professional. Note: This feature is available only for academicians and professionals who have more than 5 years and above of work experience.
Who is a Fresher?
Any individual who has completed his degree or diploma and is searching for his first job is a fresher in Procademia.
Who is a Student?
Anyone who is currently pursuing his degree or diploma in a college, university or any educational institution is a student in Procademia.
Who is a Professional?
Individuals who are working in a company (public or private sector), entrepreneurs and freelancers are professionals in Procademia.
Who is an Academician?
Faculty employed in universities, colleges, Polytechnic colleges and research institutions are known as academicians in Procademia.
How do I give feedback about Procademia?
Go to Homepage> click on “Feedback” on the footer > fill the form and click on “Submit”.
How do I contact Procademia for any help?

In the Home page, under “Signup as a Student/Fresher” click “Register Now”, the student signup form will appear. Complete the registration form and click “Register now” to receive an activation email. Activate your profile and become a member.

We call the flash presentation that briefs on the portal theme as “view splash”.
What is a testimonial?
Views shared by eminent personalities from corporate, educationalists and academicians from leading institutions will be displayed in the home page.
What is a success story?
A success story is the account of the benefits gained by a mentee (student/fresher) from his mentor through this portal. It can be on how they accomplished their goals, mentoring programs, research projects, etc. It will be displayed on the homepage.
My college / University name is not prompted in the list. Can I add my college?
Select “Others” from registration form and you can add the name of your college by filling it in the form. It will get saved in our database. Once your institution joins as a partner, we will be sending you the activation link to your registered email-id.
I am studying in school, can I sign up?
No, this facility is available only for students pursuing their degree, post-graduation and diploma courses. As of now, even certification from ITI is not applicable.
Do students/Freshers require an email account to register?
Yes, in order to register in Procademia you need to have an email id.
What is the minimum eligibility criterion to become a Mentee?
Anyone who has registered themselves as a student / fresher in Procademia is a Mentee.
What if the activation link in the email doesn’t work?

What if I didn’t receive the activation email?

You are required to enter your highest qualification first. (For e.g. your P.G and then you can enter another qualification as your U.G).
Why should I Add a Qualification?
More information will help you to connect with your alumni and expand your network easily. Procademia will suggest list of related member according to the details entered by you such as college name, course, year etc.
What is Type of Institution?
In Procademia the type of institution generally refers to the major academic courses the institution is offering to students. For e.g. if a college has more focus on engineering courses (B.E, M.E, etc.) then it is classified as an engineering college (similarly Arts & Science, Medical, Law, Architecture, Business School, Dental etc. are some examples) A college/institution can have more than one institution types.
How do I become a mentee?
The main objective of the portal is to provide a very good mentoring experience to students and the list of suggested mentors based on your profile will be populated in your dashboard. You have the option to choose from them or even look at the full list of professionals offering mentoring in the portal and send them a request for mentoring.
My skills are not available in the form? What to do?
We have listed most common skills for selection, however if your skill(s) is not present, click “click here to add a new skill”, enter the skill one by one in the text box and click “Add” to save the skills in the form.
My university / college are not suggested in the form. What do I do?
Try typing the official name of your college/university, if still not listed please type the name of your college and fill the rest of the form. Your college will be added in our database by admin.
Is it mandatory to select the mentoring areas?
Yes, if you enter the mentoring areas then it will enable us to suggest you relevant mentors.
Can I skip the Mentee Form?
Procademia is mentoring site, hence it is mandatory for all the Students / Freshers to enroll themselves as mentee.
What if I am not able to save the form?
Check your Internet connection. If the problem still continues try logging in again. If you are still not able to save the form, then contact us at support@procademia.com
Why do I need to enter my contact details?
Your contact details will enable us to suggest you relevant events, professionals and academicians located in your region.
My state and city are not in your list. What do I do?
Please enter the state and city name and it will be added in our database by admin.
What is the purpose to upload my resume?
By uploading your resume on Procademia, more prospective employers will have a chance to view it. It also takes less time to get your resume in the hands of a prospective employer.
How to view the profile from the list of suggested connections?
On the right navigation of all the pages, there is a list "Suggested Connections"; click on "View All" and see the profiles and add them as "Add Connections".
How do I edit my profile?
After logging in you can go to setting (down arrow icon) >Edit Profile option; where you can edit the necessary fields. Otherwise you can click on your name on the dashboard page (in top left) that will land in edit profile page.
Can I enter two current work experiences?
Yes you can add two current work experiences.
How do I search for people?
You can use keywords like profile name, college name, company name, to get effective results. The advanced search in Procademia has extensive criteria to find your friends or acquaintances.
What is advanced search link?
The advanced search link in Procademia portal helps you find your friends or acquaintances through its extensive criteria for each profile type.
How to get search results?
Go to Advanced Search, under search criteria select user type and other criteria to get search results. No results will be displayed if you select only user type.
How do I search verified profiles?
Go to Advanced Search, under search criteria enter the name and select the check box “Show only verified profiles” and click on apply to get search results.
How do I search for a professional?
Go to Advanced Search, under search criteria select user type “Professional” and in other criteria details select Professional Career, Work Experience, Education and Location to get desired results.
How do I search for a fresher?
Go to Advanced Search, under search criteria select user type “Fresher” and in other criteria details select Education and Location to get desired results.

Will my address be visible to the public?
Your address will not be visible to the public. By default, your Procademia profile address is visible only to you. You can modify by clicking on Settings (wheel icon)> Manage Account > Privacy Settings.
Can I change my password?
Go to Settings (wheel icon)> Manage Account > Privacy Settings > Change Password> the change password accordion will open and the user can change the password.
How do I change my email id?
"Click on the arrow mark near the profile name in the dashboard-> select Manage account->Email->Click on edit option in the primary email address, a form opens up with two text boxes “enter the new mail id and current password and a save button”.
How do I change my public URL?
"Click on the arrow mark near the profile name in the dashboard-> select Manage account->click on Public URL- >Type your name on the text box-> Click Save. Your public url will be changed successfully.
What is public url?
If you want to share your profile with anyone, you can send this link and they will be able to view all the details you have shared.
Who are listed on the Suggested Connections page?
All the professionals, academician and fresher’s who have something in common with you, that is, your college, location, mentoring areas, industry, functional area, skills and so on will be listed in the suggested connections list.
How do I view a profile from the list of suggested connections?
Navigate to the right of your dashboard to find the “Suggested Connections” list. To view a profile under “Suggested Connections”, click on “View All” and see the list of profiles. You can add connections by clicking on “Add Connection”.
How do I remove a user from my connections list?
Go to the connection’s full profile and click on “Disconnect".
How do I connect with a professional / academician?
To connect with professionals / academicians, you can use the "Suggested Connections" feature or use the search option on your dashboard page. Once you find a connection, click on "Add Connection” link.
Can I connect with another student?
The purpose of Procademia is to enable students like you to connect and interact with professionals/academicians / mentors. Procademia believes that this will give maximum exposure to your career and future employment opportunities. Hence you will not be able to connect with another student.
Can I like the files uploaded by others in knowledge library?
Go the "View All" > Click on thumbs up button besides each file name. You can also see the number of like increase.
Can I change my number when the verification is in process?
Yes you can change your number even when the verification is in process by clicking on ‘Verification Pending’.
Do I need to align a goal to a mentor?
Yes, you need to align your goal to a mentor otherwise it will be in the "Drafts" section and your mentor won’t know. You can align the goal to a mentor when you create a goal or save the goals in drafts and align later. Note: You can align the goal if you have a mentor in your account
Can I create multiple goals?
You can create and align any number of goals to a mentor. However, it should be mutually decided by you and your mentor on how many goals you both would be comfortable with.
Can I align one goal to two mentors?
No! It cannot be done. One goal can be aligned to one mentor only. But you can align any number of goals to one mentor.
How do I edit a goal?
You can only edit the goals that are not aligned to a mentor. Go to Goals / Tasks > click on the goal name > click on edit icon (pen icon). The user can also go to My Goals page>click on Drafts page and edit the goal.
What happens when I complete my goal?
After the completion of your goal, you can send a “Goal Completion” request by clicking “Complete Goal”. The mentor will receive a notification and he will verify and confirm your goal completion. If your mentor is not satisfied he may not approve your goal completion. You may have do complete any pending tasks to get it completed.
What to do, if mentor amends/asks some changes in my goal?
Before mentor accepts your goal for mentoring, he may ask you to modify/change the goal by amending it. Check with your mentor on why he wants to change/modify the goal. You can change it to suit your mentor’s expertise or interest and send back the modified goal to the mentor for acceptance.
What is a task?
A task is an activity that is created by a mentor with an objective to accomplish the goal. Your mentor can assign tasks to you, so that you can work towards achieving your goal. Note: Mentor can create tasks. Mentee’s can’t.
What is a goal/task sheet?
A goal sheet is a record to keep track of your goals, tasks and progress. It will be created after your mentor accepts your goal. Goal/task sheet will be created for each goal accepted by a mentor. Goal/task sheet is a personal page for both you and your mentor. Other mentors/members can’t see/view the information.
Can I upload files in the goal/task sheet?
Uploading files in goal/task sheet is a useful feature in Procademia. You can upload files/documents related to that goal in the goal / task sheet.
When can I terminate a mentor?
Termination of a mentoring request is not advisable however it can be done if your mentor is not responding to you properly in achieving your goal, or if the mentor has accepted your mentoring request but has not responded to your goal request and so on.
Can I invite my friends to Procademia?
Yes, you invite your friends to Procademia by filling the "Invite Friends" form while creating your profile or by clicking on the "Invite Friends" tab on the left navigation of the dashboard.
What are the service providers for an email to invite my friends?
Currently Gmail is the only service providers to invite friends in Procademia.
Does Procademia store my email Id / password if I invite my friends?
Procademia does not store any email id / password if you use the "Invite my Friends" feature.
What are notifications?
Notifications are messages Procademia sends you to let you know that some activity has happened. You will get notifications when you get a connection request, mentoring request and so on.
Can I write recommendations?
You can write a recommendation by clicking on the “Recommendations” link in an individual’s connected profile.
Can I amend a recommendation?
If you don’t like a certain aspect of the recommendation you can ask your connection to change it by clicking on the “Amend Request” link.
Can I become a Partner?
Individuals can’t become partners in Procademia. You can approach your educational institution, college, university, private company, Multinational Corporation, public limited company or any organization, and ask them to partner with Procademia.
Who is an Academic partner?
A college / university or an institution can join Procademia as an academic partner.
Who is a Corporate Partner?
Private companies, multinational corporations, public limited companies or any organization can join with Procademia as corporate partners.
How to apply for Partnership?
To join Procademia as a partner go the homepage> Partners and click on the “Apply for Partnership” and enter details. We will contact you in the next 24 hours with more information on our partner benefits and opportunities with us.

Do I have an option to sort and view the files in the Knowledge Library?
Yes, there are two sorting options: (1) You can view all the files that have been uploaded. (2) You can view only the files that have been uploaded by you.

All members of Procademia can upload files in Knowledge Library. Click on Knowledge Library > click on the Upload text link > fill the form and attach the file> click on upload.
Can I delete my uploaded file in knowledge library?

What is Mentor Counter?
Mentor Counter is the live status of number of Mentors joined in Procademia. They can be Professionals or Academicians who opted for Mentoring.
What is profile upgrade?
It is upgrading your user type to the next level. For example if you have registered in procademia as a Student, after completing your studies you will become a fresher, but the system will not know unless you update your details. However the system will prompt you to upgrade your profile once the academic year is over.
I am student user, how do I upgrade my profile?
Once your academic year is over, the system will send a profile upgrade email. Also, when you login to procademia, an alert message will be displayed to upgrade your profile.
I am a fresher user, how do I upgrade my profile?
After you login to procademia, “Upgrade Profile” menu tab will be available in the left menu of your dashboard page.
As a student user when can I upgrade my profile?
Once your academic year is completed you can do profile upgrade.

Once you get your job you can upgrade your profile.

Which career experience do I have to enter first?
The current organization or the last company you worked for is the one you need to enter first.

Yes, you can enter your part-time experience.
Can I hide my work experience from public view?
No, you cannot hide your work experience.
What is the experience needed to mentor a student/fresher?
In Procademia, we believe that it takes at least five years for a professional to understand the intricacies of his/her functional area. So if you have five years of experience, you can mentor a student / fresher.

After you have given your phone number for verification, the admin will get in touch with you and verify your details. The verification will be done within 24 hours and till then the status of your request will be “Verification Pending”.
Can I change my number when the verification is in process?
Yes you can change your number even when the verification is in process by clicking on ‘Verification Pending’.

If you want to share your profile with anyone, you can send this link and they will be able to view all the details you have shared.

What is “Suggested Mentors”?
The system will automatically suggest profile of professionals and academicians who have opted for mentoring, have similar match with your college, mentoring areas, skills and more.
Where do I view the suggested mentors?
Navigate to the right of any page. You will see the “Suggested Mentors” list .Click on “View All” to get the complete list. Browse through and add mentors that you would want to work with.
What is “Recommended mentors”?
Mentor can recommend to some other mentor from his connection, if he is not available for mentoring. The recommended mentor will be listed in your “Recommended mentors” list, so that you can request him/her for mentoring.
What is “Mentors in my connection”?
From your list of connected members, system will show the professionals and academicians who have opted for mentoring. You can send a mentoring request to these prospective mentors.
Where can I view the mentor requests that I have sent?
Go to "My Mentors" > click on "Sent Requests" tab. You can now see the list request sent.

• Goals are a systematic way of assimilating your life’s objectives and proposed achievements over a period of time. Goals are the most powerful driving force in your life. They inspire and help you focus on what is important for your career. • Your goal will help your mentor to decide how he can help you accomplish your goal. • You should have an appropriate goal to start the mentoring process. Without goals, mentors and mentees will not have any ground for accomplishment.
How do I create a new goal?
Click “Create a Goal” from the left menu or the text link in “My Mentors” page. Enter your goal details and click “Align” if you already have a mentor. If you don’t, save the goals for now. After adding a mentor, you can open the saved goals in “My Goals” “Drafts” filter. Select the mentor and align it.

How do I decline the mentoring request that is received?
When a mentee sends you a “Request for Mentoring”, you will receive a notification. You can view the request in My Mentees > Received Requests tab. If you’d like to reject the request, click on “Decline” link.
How do I recommend a mentor?
When a mentee sends you a request for mentoring and you don't have the time to mentor him / her, then you can view the request in My Mentees > Received Requests tab. Click on “Recommend” link , fill the form to suggest another mentor to the mentee and click on "Submit".
What are goals?
Goals aim to widen and improve career opportunities of your mentee. In other words, a goal is a mission that your mentee has to accomplish successfully with your help.
Can I accept multiple goals from the same mentee?
Yes, if you have time then you can accept any number of goals from the same mentee.
How many mentees can I accept?
You can mentor any number of mentees but we advise you to consider your time before you accept them.
Where can I see my mentee’s goals?
Go to Mentee Goals > Click on All Goals. You can see all the goals your mentee has aligned to you.
How do I send documents to my mentee?
Go to goal / task sheet > select the active goal > you can see the browse button > Click on it and choose a file > click on upload button. Your file has been uploaded and your mentee can see it in his goal / task sheet.
Can I share my contact number with my mentee?
Yes, by sharing your contact number you can help the mentee in various ways. You can discuss his / her problems, goals and other ideas with your mentee.
Can I terminate a mentee?
Termination of mentoring can be done if your mentee is not responding to you properly or if the mentee has not completed the assigned task.
Can I stop receiving mentoring requests?
You can decline mentoring requests but you cannot stop receiving them.
What is a task?
A task is a sub-division of a goal, created by a mentor and assigned to a mentee. The tasks will help the mentee to complete the goal systematically. The mentor will review each task and communicate it to mentee using the “Communication Box” in the goal sheet.
How would I know if my mentee has completed the task?
When your mentee completes the task you will receive a mail in your registered email id. You can also find the status of the task by going to the goal / task sheet.

A goal sheet is a record to keep track of your mentee’s goals, tasks and progress. It will be created only after you accept your mentee’s goal.
Where can I attach the file for a goal?

Show interest on a Jr / Sr Academician’s profile is a feature where you want to express your interest by participating in seminars, conferences, workshops, etc in Academicians College.
For EduMeet invite, can I recommend users in my connection who have opted for EduMeet?
Yes, you can recommend users in your connections who have opted EduMeet for EduMeet invite. If an Academician sends an invite to you, and you opt to choose as not interested and recommend some other Senior Professor / Senior Academician, then those events will be listed under “Recommended” status in EduMeet.
Can I request the academician for a change in the EduMeet event?
If you are interested but have an issue with the venue / date, etc you can state the reason and send it back to the invitee. If the host can accommodate your request then he / she will send you a modified invitation. You can view it in “Received Invitations”.
What are modified invitations?
If an academician sends an EduMeet invite to professional or academician users and if the participants request for some modification with regard to the event details, then those events will be given a “Modified” status.
What are recommended invitations?
An academician sends an EduMeet invite to professional or academician users. If they opt to choose as “Not Interested” and recommend some other professional or academician, then those events will be given a “Recommended” status.
What are cancelled invitations?
If an academician sends an EduMeet invite to professional or academician users and if he cancels the event due to some unavoidable circumstances, then those events will be given a “Cancelled” status.
What are declined invitations?
If an academician sends an EduMeet invite to a Senior Academician/Senior Professor user and if the participants decline the invite, then those events will be given a “Declined” status.
How do I participate in EduMeet?
An academician can send an EduMeet invitation to professionals / academicians. The participants can reply by clicking on “Interested”; “Interested But” if they want to attend and if they don’t want they can click on “Decline” or recommend others. Interested participants need to provide their contact number while replying for the EduMeet invite.Academician (invitee) will see the list of interested participants along with their contact details. Academician will finalize the participant and click on “Confirm” to verify their participation. (they can confirm more than one person depending on their needs).The confirmed participant will receive notification and email, and the event will be saved in their respective Procademia calendar. The confirmed participant will go the college and participate in the EduMeet.The participant will share their experience through recommendations after the completion of the EduMeet event.
Can I invite my friends to Procademia?
Yes, you invite your friends to Procademia by filling the "Invite Friends" form while creating your profile or by clicking on the "Invite Friends" tab on the left navigation of the dashboard.

What is profile upgrade?
It is upgrading your user type to the next level. For example if you have registered in procademia as a Student, after completing your studies you will become a fresher, but the system will not know unless you update your details. However the system will prompt you to upgrade your profile once the academic year is over.
I am professional user, how do I upgrade my profile?
1. If you have total work experience less than 5 years: System will send a profile upgrade email after you complete 5 years of experience. Also, when you login to procademia, an alert message will be displayed to upgrade your profile. 2. If you have total work experience more than 5 years: After you login to procademia, “Upgrade Profile” menu tab will be available in the left menu of your dashboard page.
As a junior professional when can I upgrade my profile?

What is Type of Institution?
In Procademia the type of institution generally refers to the major academic courses the institution is offering to students. For e.g. if a college has more focus on engineering courses (B.E, M.E, etc.) then it is classified as an engineering college (similarly Arts & Science, Medical, Law, Architecture, Business School, Dental etc. are some examples) A college/institution can have more than one institution types.
Why should I Add a Qualification?
More information will help you to connect with your alumni, connect with academicians all over the world and expand your network easily. Procademia will suggest list of related member according to the details entered by you such as college name, course, year etc.
Which qualification do I enter first?
You are required to enter your highest qualification first. (For e.g. your P.G and then you can enter another qualification as your U.G).
My university/college is not suggested in the form. What do I do?
Try typing the official name of your college/university, if still not listed please type the name of your college and fill the rest of the form. Your college will be added in our database by admin.
What is Total Years of Experience?
Add your work/career experiences till now and enter in the form.
I have worked in both corporate and colleges, can I add all my years of experience and enter it in Total years of Experience?
You can enter all your experience irrespective of the place of work i.e. corporate, colleges etc.
Can I edit my Total years of Experience?
If you are creating your profile (which is after activation of your account), then you can go to previous stages and update your total years of experience. You cannot update your total years of experience once you are done with creating your profile.
Can I enter two current work experiences?
Yes, you can add two current work experiences.
Which career experience do I have to enter first?
The current college or the last college you worked for is the one you need to enter first.

In Procademia, we believe that it takes at least five years for an academician to understand the intricacies of his/her functional area. So if you have five years of experience, you can mentor a student / fresher.

To invite professionals / academicians you don't require any experience but in order to participate in other college/institution activities and get invited by other academicians you need to have a minimum of five years of experience and while creating your profile you should have opted for participate in Edumeet.
My skills are not available in the form? What to do?
We have listed most common skills for selection, however if your skill(s) is not present, click “click here to add a new skill”, enter the skill one by one in the text box and click “Add” to save the skills in the form.

How do I change my public URL?
"Click on the arrow mark near the profile name in the dashboard-> select Manage account->click on Public URL- >Type your name on the text box-> Click Save. Your public URL will be changed successfully.
How do I change my email id?
"Click on the arrow mark near the profile name in the dashboard-> select Manage account->Email->Click on edit option in the primary email address, a form opens up with two text boxes “enter the new mail id and current password and a save button”.
Can I change my password?
Go to Settings (wheel icon)> Manage Account > Privacy Settings > Change Password> the change password accordion will open and the user can change the password.
Will my address be visible to the public?
Your address will not be visible to the public. By default, your Procademia profile address is visible only to you. You can modify by clicking on Settings (wheel icon)> Manage Account > Privacy Settings.
How to remove a user from my connections list?
Go to the connection's profile and click on “Disconnect"
How do I see connections in my list?
From home page, click on connections icon and select “My Connections” tab to view the complete list of connections in your profile.
How do I connect with student/professional?
To connect with student/professional, you can use the "Suggested Connections" feature or use the search option to find the connection and click on "Add Connections".
How can I add people in my connection?
You look for people from suggested connections in your dashboard. If you don't find the connection you are searching for, you can use keywords like profile name, college name, company name, to search your colleagues, friends and alumni.
What is Add Connection?
It is a feature that enables you to add a colleague, friend or an acquaintance.
What is a Suggested Connection?
Procademia helps you build your network by identifying people who have something in common with you like your college, college of work and so on.
What is mentoring?
Mentoring is a mutually-beneficial relationship between a student / fresher (mentee) and an expert (mentor). Through a mentor's guidance, the student will be able to find the right direction to his/her career, improve his/her employability skills and be transformed into a socially responsible professional.
Can I add mentors in my list?
No, you cannot add mentors. As an academician you can only become a mentor for a student / fresher.
How do I accept a request from a mentee?
When a mentee sends you a request for mentoring, you will receive a notification. You can view the request in My Mentees > Received Requests tab. When you click on the “Accept” link, the mentee will automatically be added to your “List of Mentees”.
How do I recommend a mentor?
When a mentee sends you a request for mentoring and you don't have the time to mentor him / her, then you can view the request in My Mentees > Received Requests tab. Click on “Recommend” link , fill the form to suggest another mentor to the mentee and click on "Submit".
Where can I see my mentee’s goals?
Go to Mentee Goals > Click on All Goals. You can see all the goals your mentee has aligned to you.
How do I send documents to my mentee?
Go to goal / task sheet > select the active goal > you can see the browse button > Click on it and choose a file > click on upload button. Your file has been uploaded and your mentee can see it in his goal / task sheet.
Can I share my contact number with my mentee?
Yes, by sharing your contact number you can help the mentee in various ways. You can discuss his / her problems, goals and other ideas with your mentee.
Can I terminate a mentee?
Termination of mentoring can be done if your mentee is not responding to you properly or if the mentee has not completed the assigned task.
What are goals?
Goals aim to widen and improve career opportunities of your mentee. In other words, a goal is a mission that your mentee has to accomplish successfully with your help.
Can I accept multiple goals from the same mentee?
Yes, if you have time then you can accept any number of goals from the same mentee.
How many mentees can I accept?
You can mentor any number of mentees but we advise you to consider your time before you accept them.
Can I stop receiving mentoring requests?
You can decline mentoring requests but you cannot stop receiving them.
What is a task?
A task is a sub-division of a goal, created by a mentor and assigned to a mentee. The tasks will help the mentee to complete the goal systematically. The mentor will review each task and communicate it to mentee using the “Communication Box” in the goal sheet.
How would I know if my mentee has completed the task?
When your mentee completes the task you will receive a mail in your registered email id. You can also find the status of the task by going to the goal / task sheet.
What is a goal/task sheet?
A goal sheet is a record to keep track of your mentees goals, tasks and progress. It will be created only after you accept the mentees’ goal.
Where can I attach the file for a goal?
Go to the goal / task sheet > select the active goal > upload the file by clicking on browse > click on upload.
How do I participate in EduMeet?
• The (the academician who sends the invitation) can send the invitation to professionals / academicians. • The participants can reply by clicking on “Interested”, “Interested But” if they want to attend and if they don’t want to they can click on “Not Interested”. • They can also recommend others. Interested participants need to provide their contact number while replying for the EduMeet invite. • Academician (invitee) will view the list of interested participants along with their contact details. He will finalize the participant and click on “Confirm” to verify their participation (they can confirm more than one person depending on their needs). • The confirmed participant will receive a notification and an email. The event will be saved in their respective Procademia calendar. The confirmed participant will share their experience through recommendations after the completion of the EduMeet event.
Can I cancel EduMeet invitations?
As a host, you can cancel your EduMeet event before the event dates expire. On the portal, go to the EduMeet section > click on the event name > click on Cancel EduMeet. The cancellation should have reason and that information will be sent to all those who had been invited for the event.
What is Invite for Edumeet?
If you want to invite a professional / academician for an EduMeet activity such as training, workshops, seminars, guest lectures, research and more in your college or university, then you can do that by using this feature in the portal.
What is Edumeet?
Edumeet is a platform that provides a facility for academicians to interact with professionals from industries and academicians from other institutions. EduMeet activities involve guest lectures, seminars, workshops, research, training sessions and more. Academicians from different colleges/institutions will invite professionals who are interested in participating in these academic events.
I have not received any invitation. What do I do?
You can view an academician’s profile who shares your interests and express your interest by clicking on “Show Interest”. This will enable him to include you in the invitee list when he conducts an EduMeet.
What are modified invitations?
If an academician sends an EduMeet invite to professional or academician users and if the participants request for some modification with regard to the event details, then those events will be given a “Modified” status.
What are recommended invitations?
An academician sends an EduMeet invite to professional or academician users. If they opt to choose as “Not Interested” and recommend some other professional or academician, then those events will be given a “Recommended” status.
What are cancelled invitations?
If an academician sends an EduMeet invite to professional or academician users and if he cancels the event due to some unavoidable circumstances, then those events will be given a “Cancelled” status.
What are declined invitations?
If an academician sends an EduMeet invite to an Academician/Senior Professor user and if the participants decline the invite, then those events will be given a “Declined” status.
Can I invite my friends to Procademia?
Yes, you can invite your friends to Procademia by filling the "Invite Friends" form while creating your profile or by clicking on the "Invite Friends" tab on the left navigation of the dashboard.
What are the service providers for an email to invite my friends?
Currently, Gmail is the only service providers to invite friends in Procademia.
Does Procademia store my email Id / password if I invite my friends?
Procademia does not store any email id / password if you use the "Invite my Friends" feature.
What are notifications?
Notifications are messages Procademia sends you to let you know that some activity has happened. You will get notifications when you get a connection request, mentoring request and so on.
Can I write recommendations?
You can write a recommendation by clicking on the “Recommendations” link in an individual’s connected profile.
Can I amend a recommendation received?
If you don’t like a certain aspect of the recommendation you can ask your connection to change it by clicking on the “Amend Request” link.
Who is an Academic partner?
A college / university or an academic institution can join Procademia as an academic partner.
Who is a Corporate Partner?
Private companies, multinational corporations, public limited companies or any organization can join with Procademia as corporate partners.
Can I become a Partner?
Individuals can’t become partners in Procademia. You can approach your educational institution, college, university, private company, Multinational Corporation, public limited company or any organization, and ask them to partner with Procademia.
How to apply for Partnership?
To join Procademia as a partner go the homepage> Partners and click on the “Apply for Partnership” and enter details. We will contact you in the next 24 hours with more information on our partner benefits and opportunities with us.
What is a Knowledge Library?
It is a feature where all users can upload useful information that can be benefited by all people.
Do I have an option to sort and view the files in the Knowledge Library?
Yes, there are two sorting options: (1) You can view all the files that have been uploaded. (2) You can view only the files that have been uploaded by you.
Can I upload files in knowledge library?
All members of Procademia can upload files in Knowledge Library. Click on Knowledge Library > click on the Upload text link > fill the form and attach the file> click on upload.
Can I delete my uploaded file in knowledge library?
Go the "Files Uploaded by me" > Click on the delete (X) button near the file name.
Can I like the files uploaded by others in knowledge library?
Go the "View All" > Click on thumbs up button besides each file name. You can also see the number of like increase.
Can I write a success story?
No, success stories can be written only by freshers / students.
What are success stories?
The student / fresher will describe how they accomplished their goals, program or a research project by writing it as their success story. It will be displayed on the homepage for both the registered and non- registered users. In other words, it can also be described as an account of the benefits gained by a student / fresher from his mentor through this portal.
How do I add comment for posting in forum?
Go to the topic posting click on “Quick Reply” add your comments and click “Submit” for the topic to get posted.
How do create a new topic in forum?
Go to forum dashboard and click on any posting, in the posting page, click on “New topic” tab to create a new topic.

On the left navigation, you can find a menu tab "Forum". You can click on it and join the discussion board.

What is Mentor Counter?
Mentor Counter is the live status of number of Mentors joined in Procademia. They can be Professionals or Academicians who opted for Mentoring.
What is profile upgrade?
It is upgrading your user type to the next level. For example if you have registered in procademia as a Student, after completing your studies you will become a fresher, but the system will not know unless you update your details. However the system will prompt you to upgrade your profile once the academic year is over.
I am an academician user, how do I upgrade my profile?
1. If you have total work experience less than 5 years: System will send a profile upgrade email after you complete 5 years of experience. Also, when you login to procademia, an alert message will be displayed to upgrade your profile. 2. If you have total work experience more than 5 years: After you login to procademia, “Upgrade Profile” menu tab will be available in the left menu of your dashboard page.
As a junior academician when can I upgrade my profile?
Once you complete 5 years of experience you can upgrade your profile.
As a senior academician user can I upgrade my profile to senior professional?
No, you cannot upgrade.
What is the benefit of upgrading my profile?
Procademia is a platform that caters to the user type students, freshers, professionals and academicians. Having an appropriate profile will ensure more realization of benefits and access to profile specific features.
Is there any change in my dashboard?
Profile upgrade will not impact any of your current activities, it will add additional features entitled for the user type. You can continue the mentoring / edumeet activities without any hassle.
What will happen to mentoring?
Profile upgrade will not affect your mentoring activities; if you are a mentee and receive mentoring in Procademia you can continue your activities without any hassle.
Can I degrade my profile back to the initial state?
No, you cannot.
I am an academician why I need an upgrade?
If you have more than 5 years of experience the profile upgrade will entitle you to offer mentoring and participate in other college EduMeet Invitations. (Guest lecture, seminar, etc.)
